Equipment Operator - Full-Time

Lincoln County Highway Department is accepting applications for a full-time Equipment Operator and a Truck Driver. Knowledge of mechanics, welding, measuring, and working knowledge of mathematics is beneficial to both positions. The ability to operate loaders, dozers, mowers, motor graders, trucks, and other heavy equipment is preferred.  A thorough knowledge of the physical layout of Lincoln County is also preferred. This employee should have good organizational, public relations, and oral and written communication skills. This employee needs to be able to adapt to changing technology. A high school diploma or GED is required, and applicants must have a valid class "A" CDL license with manual transmission or be willing to acquire one.

Treasurer Department

Full-Time Secretary starting June 2024

The Lincoln County Treasurer Department is looking to hire a full-time secretary for a position starting in June. A high school diploma or GED is required. Treasurer experience is preferred, but all individuals interested are encouraged to apply. The functions for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • bookkeeping
  • assisting with tag sales, collecting taxes, and renewing drivers' licenses
  • maintenance of documents and rports relating to collection,administration, and distribution of county and state monies
  • general office duties

This is a non-exempt position under FLSA, and the employee will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Kansas law.

 

Part-Time Landfill

Part-time Worker

Under the supervision of the Lincoln County Landfill Operator, this position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the landfill and construction and demolition pit while complying with federal and state laws and regulations. Duties include working with citizens and government entities regarding solid waste management; weighing, inspecting, and recording all loads prior to disposal; assuring all equipment and machinery is kept in operating condition; performing other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.
