The office of the Marshall County Public Works is located on the lower level of the County Courthouse. Departments directed by the County Public Works include the Road and Bridge department, Solid Waste Transfer Station, Noxious Weed, Recycling and Household Hazardous Waste.
Records dating back to the 1800’s, establishing roads in Marshall County are filed in the Public Works’ Office. An index book with each township mapped out defines road widths and correlating record numbers for each road.
Many surveys completed within Marshall County are recorded in the Public Works' Office and section corner ties are indexed for easy reference to the survey records.
